The HIAL network has ten remote sites which rely heavily on the communication links to our Head Office located in Inverness Airport. Due to all our airports remote locations (especially Inverness where our maximum connection speed is a 512kbps ADSL line), bandwidth and reliability of our communication lines has been an ongoing struggle.
One of the most memorable problems we encountered was trying to upgrade Campbeltown Airport from ISDN to ADSL as a result of BT withdrawing its unmetered dialup service for ISDN. After over a year of dealing with BT's miscommunication, incompetence and apathy we were no further forward with the case, being force to pay large amounts of money for a substandard service and had the HIAL Administration Manager threatening to involve Ofcom because of the situation.
It was at this point that we started to deal with Datasharp, and found their professionalism to be a breath of fresh air. Within a week they had found the cause Campbeltown's ADSL errors (which BT had still not found after one year) and proceeded to push forward the ADSL installation on our behalf.
After the initial success with Campbeltown we decided to give Datasharp a chance improve the rest of our remote connections and found that they met our expectations, by putting forward solutions no one else had suggested, at reasonable prices. After commissioning Datasharp to implement an MPSL solution they continued to deliver with a professional attitude at every stage of the project. Every installation went smoothly and on time.
The only problem we encountered with the MPLS solution was packet loss at one of the remote sites. Datasharp were quickly able to diagnose this as a poor quality telephone line and promptly rectified it. Since then our MPLS communications have been up 100% of the time and we have received a lot of positive feedback from all the remote sites regarding the increase in speed.
Following our own experiences with Datasharp I have no hesitation in recommending their services.
